A BUSY A-road had to be temporarily shut today while firefighters chopped down 'dangerous' tree branches.
The overhanging foliage was blocking part of the A4260 Frieze Way near Kidlington, and emergency services arrived on scene this afternoon to make the road safe.

According to the TVP Kidlington Twitter account, the road was closed shortly before 2pm from the Peartree roundabout to the Sainsbury's roundabout, and reopened about 15 minutes later.
Police tweeted that they had received reports of 'dangerous' overhanging trees, which the fire service had cut down.
Two concerned drivers reported the issue via FixMyStreet this morning, a problem-reporting website through which residents can log issues such as potholes and other street defects.

One of the reports, logged at 10.41am, said: "A large number of branches have blown into the road.
"[They are] across both lanes, and may cause damage to cars or an accident."
The other, reported about half an hour later, added: "There is a tree partially falling into the road [and] debris all over the road.
"In these high winds it won’t be long before the rest falls into the road.
"It is on the bend on Frieze Way, so you don’t see it until the last minute."
