OXFORD’S five-star Randolph Hotel has a new general manager.
Jonathan Lowrey has been appointed to replace Simon Drake, who left earlier this month.
Mr Drake was general manager of the Grade-II listed hotel in Beaumont Street for a year.

A spokeswoman for Macdonald Hotels, which runs the Randolph, said: “Jonathan Lowrey brings with him significant experience managing five-star hotels, having worked at the prestigious Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington for 22 years."
Mr Drake was with the Randolph Hotel for a year, joining in February 2018.
During his time at the Royal Garden Hotel Mr Lowrey has hosted a number of celebrity guests, including singer Justin Bieber.
A £1.5m refurbishment of the hotel’s stonework was launched last year and is continuing.

On Sunday a man in his 20s climbed scaffolding at the hotel and fell four storeys, suffering head and chest injuries.
