A CAR believed to have been involved in the late-night stabbing chaos in East Oxford has been seized.
Police have recovered the car it had been searching for after two men were stabbed in Southfield Road on Wednesday at 11.30pm.
UPDATE: Latest from police after two people stabbed in East Oxford
It is believed the victims were stabbed following a mass brawl involving up to 10 people in the road off Cowley Road, which is being treated as an attempted murder.
As part of the investigation, the force had appealed to trace a car thought to have been involved in a crash potentially with someone on foot in the road at the same time.
This has now been recovered by police.
Southfield Road was closed off by officers throughout yesterday, but Thames Valley Police said the cordon has now been lifted.
It continues to investigate the stabbing and a 22-year-old man of no fixed abode, who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent, remains in custody.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector James Senior said: "Although we have lifted the scene-watch, the public will see a continued increased police presence in the area while the investigation continues.
"This will include house-to-house enquiries, and I would urge anybody who has any concerns, or who believes they may have witnessed the incident to speak to officers in the area."
The force also confirmed that one of the victims, a man in his 20s, remains in hospital in a critical condition.
The other man in his 20s who was also stabbed also remains in hospital but is said to be stable.
Detective inspector Senior added: "I would like to re-iterate that we believe this was an incident involving people known to each other, and there is no identified threat to the wider community.
"Again, if you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to speak to one of our officers."
