OLD and new, light and dark, fast and slow - Camera Club was on the look out for ‘contrasts’ this week and have come up with some stunning results.
Many members focused on images that showcased difference due to age.
Some of our favourites included Darrell Godliman’s spectacular picture of London's glass-filled One New Change leading through to the historic St Pauls Cathedral, as well as a group of old and new planes captured in flight by Marie Barnett Comley.

We also loved Trish Davies’ snap of her granddaughter and a family friend, who were exactly 100 years apart in age at the time it was taken.
We also had several spectacular images of sunrise at Port Meadow, the dramatic contrast in colours proving a popular pull.
Sharing her image of the nature site just outside Oxford on a misty morning Marian Payne wrote: "Beauty and the beast. Spire and crane."
Camera Club took to the skies last week - here are our favourites
The distinctive outline of an Oxford spire is juxtaposed with one of the Botley cranes working at West Way.
Donal Meehan and Lesley Murray also submitted stand-out shots of Port Meadow with shimmering water set against the pale yellow light of a rising sun.
In a similar vein, there were plenty of contrasts between light and dark, as well as colour.

We loved a stylised image of a woman in costume by Rosemary Harris that picks out in bright lines the details of her face and hair against a dark background.
Pops of colour could be found in pictures by Collette Knibb and Jaime Smith, meanwhile, who both chose to highlight one feature amid a monochrome shot.
A classic contrast was also captured in Sue Carruthers snap of a zebra.
Finally, one of our favourite interpretations of the theme came from Ian Marriott who contrasted two major highways in the heart of Oxfordshire.
His shot features a serene River Thames below, with the frenetic and congested A34 above.
We particularly liked the use of long exposure to capture a sense of motion from the lorries as they blur.
Next week’s theme is 'repetition'.

Happy snapping!
