AFTER Oxfordshire paid £74 million in 'death tax' last year, an estate planning company is hosting a free event for people to learn about how they can lower their Inheritance Tax bill.
Severn Estate Planning want to help families leave more to their loved ones and avoid overpaying tax.
With UK payments rising yearly – predicted to increase by 18% in 2022 – and housing prices soaring, thousands of families will miss out on their inheritance if they don’t plan ahead.

Their seminar, held at Jurys Inn Oxford on March 12, will provide expert guidance and a Q&A session will follow.
People will also learn how to protect their house from care home fees, set up Lasting Powers of Attorney and tackle common Will problems.
There is a talk at 2pm and 7pm. Register at severnestate.co.uk/seminars.
