A MOODY trailer for an Oxford-filmed series inspired by Sir Philip Pullman has been released.
The tantalising teaser for 'His Dark Materials' has been released by BBC One ahead of an eight part series which begins later this year.
Also set to be shown on HBO, the series stars James McAvoy, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Ruth Wilson.
Oxford streets can be seen in the trailer, which features dramatic music set against city scenery, and has been viewed more than a half a million times.
Oxford-based author Sir Philip has been given the freedom of the city that he says inspires much of his work, including The Northern Lights, Subtle Knife and Amber Spyglass, which make up the His Dark Materials trilogy.
Releasing the footage, the BBC said: "We’re keeping our daemons close. Here’s an early sneak peek of #HisDarkMaterials".
