TODAY is the first day of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Oxford Fairtrade City which promotes Fairtrade in the city, is urging people and businesses to use and sell fairtrade products over the next two weeks.

This year’s emphasis is on chocolate and to help ensure cocoa farmers are paid fairly for their work and are able to live a dignified life.

Lemon Zest, who runs the café in Oxford Town Hall at St Aldate’s, will be offering customers a 10 per cent discount on hot chocolate purchases throughout the Fairtrade fortnight.

Fairtrade Fortnight is from February 25 to March 10.
