OXFORD Mail readers have backed concerns over the 'funny shape' of a new roundabout on the A40.
A series of crashes have occurred at the new junction, west of Witney, since it opened on August 25.

Earlier this week, West Oxfordshire District Council's cabinet member for community safety, Norman MacRae, called for more speed checks near the roundabout to help reduce collisions.
He added: "Speaking as a motorist, it feels like the roundabout is a funny shape."
Several Oxford Mail readers appear to have had the same issues and weighed in with their views.
Commenting on our website, WestOxBill said: "I use it a lot and the weird offset layout constantly catches me out. I do not know another roundabout with this layout."

Reader OxfordRob agreed, adding he felt the roundabout was 'poorly designed'.
He said: "The roundabout is an odd design and even at slow speeds it just feels weird going around it.
"I know that sounds daft but it just doesn't flow in the way you expect a normal roundabout to be.
"It could be the size of it for the junctions? They are quite tight turns coming off. It is such an odd choice for what they were going for."
Another user, Pointless comment, felt the new junction was catching drivers out, adding: "People just don't expect there to be a roundabout at that point and leave it too late to slow down."
At least eight crashes have occurred on the roundabout in six months, but other readers put these incidents down to driver error.
Disinterested Observer, a regular A40 user, said: "The only ways you're going to have problems if you're driving too fast and/or not paying proper attention to the road. "
Jonnya2001 added: "It's a roundabout - drive properly and be observant, sounds easy enough."
