WANTAGE residents will be given a free trial to reinvigorate a bus service launched to help the elderly and less mobile.
In 2017, the Town Council approached Wantage Independent Advice Centre to start the service to fill the gaps left after cuts to local bus services, following local residents raised concerns.

The Wednesday bus service, aimed at helping people shop and access the Health Centre, is now under review.
But a free trial is set to come into force from March to May to remind residents of its benefits.
Former mayor Steve Trinder, who was behind the initial project, said: "The take up hasn’t been as good as might have been hoped. There are many happy customers who rave about the service, but more users are needed for it to be sustainable."
The town centre service runs from various parts of the town that no longer have a bus service.
To book a trip, call 01235 765348, email transport@wantageadvice.org.uk or visit Wantage Independent Advice Centre.
