OXFORD City Council has agreed to increase council tax on residents by nearly £9 in 2019/20.
Councillors agreed a 2.99 per cent increase so a council tax charge for residents will be £307.80 from April. That means they'll pay £8.94 more for services than now.
Last night, councillors were met at the Town Hall by protesters demanding more action on climate change.
Oxfordshire County Council also agreed to increase its council tax by 2.99 per cent this week.
