AN INTRUDER sexually assaulted a woman after he got into a house through an unlocked window.

The woman was attacked about 4am on Saturday at the home in Divinity Road, East Oxford.

Thames Valley Police has now stepped up patrols in the area.

They said the man who carried out the sex assault was Asian, in his twenties or thirties, with dark hair.

A spokeswoman said: “The offender gained access to the property through an insecure window.

“We are appealing for CCTV and dash-cam footage.”

Police want to hear from anyone in the Rectory Road, Divinity Road and Cowley Road area who has dash-cam footage or CCTV footage between 12.30am and 4am on Saturday.
