THREE Oxfordshire eateries have been shortlisted for the seventh annual British Kebab Awards.
Two city shops, both on Cowley Road, are nominated for awards alongside a kebab van from Thame in the running for van of the year.
Antep Kitchen Oxford on Cowley Road is bidding for this year's ‘best newcomer restaurant’ title.

Bodrum Restaurant, meanwhile, is shortlisted for the ‘best takeaway’ in the regional category.
Thame-based Atalay’s Kebab Van is up for ‘kebab van of the year’.
The family businesses based on Thame High Street will be hoping to retain the coveted crown for the third time, having already won the category at the annual ceremony twice.

The annual awards are voted for by the public and the shortlist for all categories was announced today.
Now in its sixth year, organisers said that the event helped to ‘celebrate growth, popularity and success of the kebab industry in Britain.’
At previous events winners have been presented their awards from figures from across the worlds of politics, media and business.
Frances O’Grady, general secretary of the Trade Union Council; Lord Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer; and Jim Pickard, chief political correspondent for the Financial Times have all handed out the greasy gongs.
The final winners of the awards will be announced at a special ceremony which will be held in London on March 18.
