ANOTHER new Oxfordshire supermarket swung open its doors to customers today.
Shoppers queued as Lidl opened in Hithercroft Road, Wallingford, at 8am, as videos showing the store looking busy soon after it opened.

It comes after the opening of an M&S Foodhall in Chipping Norton on Wednesday, which saw hundreds queue in the cold in hope of gaining 'golden tickets'.

Residents in the town have been largely positive about the German chain's arrival, stressing a need for more choice.
Town Mayor Lee Upcraft explained: "Its really good news for Wallingford and I am looking forward to having a look around myself. Its good to have a bit of choice.
"There are people who can't afford to shop in Waitrose, so it's nice to have something for them."
Residents have coveted a second supermarket for years. In 2013, plans for a Morrisons collapsed.

Wallingford local Charlene Few said: "It's very busy, also nice to see a decent priced supermarket in Wallingford. Will be shopping here again."
Young shopper Tori Taylor, 11, who was at the opening, added: "I really liked it.
"There was loads of people standing around getting ready to go in."
She continued: "We were there for the ribbon cutting and had a tour around it. I thought it was really nice."
Lidl already has Oxfordshire branches in Bicester, Oxford and Witney.
The Wallingford branch is still advertising for some job roles on the chain's website, including for a deputy store manager and for a cleaner.
