THE victim of an Oxford burglary arrived home to find a balaclava-clad man fleeing the scene.

Two men were seen leaving a house in Fairlie Road, Littlemore, by a resident of the property who had just got back and narrowly missed catching them inside.

Thames Valley Police said jewellery was stolen in the burglary, which happened at about 5.50pm on Monday.

One of the men was wearing a balaclava over his face, and the other was wearing a green jacket.
