OXFORD MAGISTRATES’

JACK MCKNIGHT, 21, of Offas Close, Benson, was convicted of speeding in a 40 mph area at Berkshire on August 7. He was fined £395 and must pay a victim surcharge of £39 and court costs of £85 and his driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

Stephen MCWHINNIE, 59, of Druce Way, Oxford, was convicted of speeding in a 70 mph area at the M4 Chippenham on August 26. He was fined £100 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.

Stephen RUSHMER, 54, of North Way, Headington, admitted two counts of being drunk and disorderly at Cafe Nero, Oxford, on December 12 and at The White Horse public house, Oxford, on December 25. He was fined £50 for each offence and must pay a victim surcharge of £30.

EMMA WEBB, 30, of Abbott Road, Didcot, admitted failing to surrender to custody on December 17 at Oxford She was fined £50 and must pay a victim surcharge of £30.

Shaun COLLETT, 33, of Vineyard, Abingdon, admitted stealing four bottles of whiskey valued at £74.50 from Waitrose, Oxford, on Abingdon on November 15. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £20.

SOPHIE CUNNINGHAM, 28, of no fixed abode, admitted assaulting a woman at Littlemore, on June 11 as well as breaching a previously imposed conditional discharge. She was given a conditional discharge for six months and must pay a victim surcharge of £20.

WILLIAM FRANCIS-WEBB, 25, of Manor Road, Wantage, admitted stealing printer ink and electronic toothbrush heads valued at £1,091 from Sainsburys, Wantage, on November 6 as well as stealing radios and telephones valued at £380 from Sainsburys, Didcot, on November 6 and possession of a quantity of cannabis. He was made subject to a community order to include rehabilitation activity requirement for 15 days and he must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85.

Ricky KILROY, 36, of Queensway, Didcot, admitted handling stolen goods between August 7 and 8 at Didcot as well as fraud by false representation by using two bank cards to gain £1,048.75. He was made subject to a community order to include a drug rehabilitation requirement for six months and rehabilitation activity requirement for 15 days. He must also pay compensation of £275, a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85.

JULIAN GUNNETT, 44, of Wilsdon Way, Kidlington, admitted stealing a purse and contents including £60 at Waitrose on December 12, stealing a Barclays debit card on November 27 at Burford, as well as three counts of fraud by false representation by using the card at Witney and Burford on November 27 and December 10 as well as breaching a suspended sentence order. He was jailed a total of 47 weeks and must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

DAVID RADBAND, 33, of Fox Close, Bampton, admitted causing criminal damage to a car wing mirror in Witney, on October 11 and harassment without violence between January 1 2018 and October 7 2018. Sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 24 months. Must attend a building better relationships programme for 30 days and carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. Must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and court costs of £85. A restraining order was put in place.

ANDREW BROWN, 52, of Henry Taunt Close, Headington, admitted stealing goods worth £25.25 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on June 16. Fined £50, must pay £25.25 compensation, a victim surcharge of £4.75 and court costs of £45.

RHYAS BROWN, 18, of Brake Hill, Oxford, admitted using threatening or abusive words and behaviour with intent to cause fear in Park End Street, Oxford, on October 7. Community order made and he was placed under curfew between 8pm and 6am for 28 days. Must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85.

JAMES CARTHY, 29, of Margaret Road, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis and cocaine in Oxfordshire on January, 18 2018. Fined a total of £200, must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

TOM LOVERIDGE, 36, of Tenacre Caravan Park, Sandford-on-Thames, admitted going equipped for theft with a crow bar and bolt croppers. Community order made and he was placed under curfew from 8pm to 6am until February 22. Must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85.

JOSHUA OCHOLA-BOLGER, 22, of Denny Gardens, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man by beating him and causing £648 worth of criminal damage to a car belonging to Royal Cars in Oxford on August 23. A community order was made and he must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months. Must pay £798 compensation.

MICHAEL GARDENER, 28, of The Lees, Faringdon, admitted stealing two bottles of gin and one bottle of vodka worth £71 from Tesco in Faringdon on October 8 and stealing a bottle of Jack Daniels worth £16 from Tesco in Faringdon on October 12. Fined £300, must pay £87 compensation and £40 court costs.

TERRANCE HANKS, 38, of Luther Street, Oxford, was convicted of causing criminal damage worth £56 to the grocery at Tesco in Oxford on November 17. Thereby committed a further offence while under a suspended sentence. Jailed for eight weeks, must pay £56.99 compensation.

TIPU AZIZ, 62, of Lodge Close, Oxford, admitted using a vehicle without insurance in Elsfield Road, Marston, on July 18. Fined £1,892, must pay a £170 victim surcharge and court costs of £85. Six penalty points.

AARON CHEWINGS, 33, of Colwell Road, Berinsfield, admitted driving without insurance in Fane Drive, Berinsfield, on July 16. Fined £660, must pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85. Six penalty points.
