Police have put out a warning on social media about the ostrich-like bird called a rhea, which was spotted in Sonning Common this afternoon.

The force warned of 'a few road issues' the bird was creating after trying to approach it before it fled across fields.
Police did see the funny side and compared their efforts to that of comedy film Hot Fuzz.

The movie starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost shows the pair as police officers called to capture the escaped swans - with little luck.
The escaped bird is understood to come from the village of Wyfold, where large birds have escaped in the past.
Our own take on #HotFuzz! This fella on the loose causing a few road issues in Sonning Common, when we approached him he gave it the legs! "Offender" outstanding, last seen across the fields! @tvpsouthandvale #billybigsteps #TRbshift #PS7138 pic.twitter.com/jgxzxFMPpX
