KINGS, cribs and a host of costumed creatures cropped up at schools and churches across the county this month.
Christmas tradition saw hundreds of Oxfordshire pupils take part in nativity plays, either following the classic format or taking a more modern twist on tradition.
Adults and children both took part in the Follow That Star performance in Kidlington, which saw a procession of characters walk through High Street to St Mary's Church.
The nativity parade, which took place on December 15, even starred a real camel.
Many pupils dressed up as animals for school productions, with an array of homemade costumes to ensure they looked the part next to the manger.
