THE county's worst performing primary schools have been revealed in new Government tables.
The stats released yesterday show the number of underperforming schools in Oxfordshire.
Schools are considered to be under-performing if less than 65 per cent of pupils reach the expected standard in reading, writing and maths, or if they fail to make sufficient progress in the three key areas.
According to the tables released by the Department of Education, the county's worst performing schools are Bayards Hill School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, St Christopher's Church of England School, Lechlade, St John Fisher Catholic Primary School, Oxford, St Peter's Church of England Primary School, Witney, Oxfordshire, Manor School, Didcot, Oxfordshire, Bampton CofE Primary School, Bampton, and St Nicholas CofE Primary School, Wantage.
In total 63 per cent of all pupils across Oxfordshire are failing to reach the expected standard in the three subjects.
Meanwhile, 100 per cent of pupils at Buckland Church of England Primary School and Longcot and Fernham Church of England Primary School, both in Faringdon, re meeting the expected standard.
Nationally 64 per cent of primary school pupils across England are considered to be underperforming.
