PEOPLE can now recycle their crisp packets at a drop-off point in Oxford.
The crisp brand, Walkers, has partnered with recycler TerraCycle in a scheme to help people nationwide recycle their crisp packets.
The recycling point is located at North Oxford Association Community Centre in Summertown and there are a few more located around the county including Bampton and Thame.
These bins are not like other public bins where other waste is disposed, instead these are specifically for crisp packaging.
It is the UK’s first crisp packet recycling scheme and comes after the brand came under fire from environmentalists and consumers over its use of plastic packaging.
