A 16-YEAR-old cyclist who died after crashing with a car has been officially named for the first time as his inquest was opened at Oxford Coroners Court.
Thomas Early, of Mill Street, Eynsham, was the teenager killed in the horror crash last week on the B4449 between his home town and Witney.
The court heard how Mr Early had been cycling up the road in darkness on November 20 when he was hit by the car.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital and pronounced dead at 8.38am on November 21.
The cause of death given was 'traumatic brain injury'.
A date for the full inquest has been set for May 14.
