GLITTERING showers of colour will rain down on Oxfordshire as Bonfire Night returns.
Families will gather at parks, schools and public spaces across the county for kaleidoscopic displays at the weekend, ahead of November 5.
Here's a round-up of what is happening where:
Friday, November 2
• Grove RFC Fireworks - Recreation Lane, Grove. Gates open at 6.30pm A BBQ, bar and fair rides are on offer, with tickets costing £5 for adults, £3 for children and £10 for families
• Hanborough Musical fireworks – Playing Fields & Pavilion, Roosevelt Road, Long Hanborough, Gates open at 6pm.Tickets: £4 Adults, £2 Children
Saturday, November 3
• South Park, Oxford - 51st annual Oxford Fireworks in Headington, running from 4.30pm until 9.30pm.
The display will be staged by Kimbolton Fireworks company and will start at 6.45pm, followed by the lighting of the bonfire.
On Friday organisers started piling wooden pallets in South Park in preparation for the huge annual bonfire on display night.
Tickets online currently cost £7 for a single or £16 for a family of four, and children aged under five go free.
• Wallingford, Saturday, November 3 in the Kinecroft. Gates open at 6pm for a suggested entry donation of £6 for adults and £3 for children.
• Bicester Round Table Fireworks, Pingle Field. Gates open 6pm, bonfire lit 7pm, firework display 7.30pm
- Standlake Village Hall fireworks and bonfire, gates open from 6pm and display is at 7pm. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for 1st Standlake and Cokethorpe Sea Scouts. Adult entry £5, children £3, family (two adults and up to three children) £15
• Abingdon Firework Display, Long Furlong Community Centre. Fireworks at 7.30pm
• Thame Fireworks, Lord Williams's Lower School. Display starts at 6.30pm
• Grove Bonfire and Fireworks, Grove Rugby Football Club. Gates open 6.30pm
• Charlbury cricket club fireworks, Charlbury Cricket Club, Dyers Hill, Charlbury. Gates: 5.30pm. Tickets: £5 adult, £2 children. No sparklers.
Sunday, November 4
• Didcot Pyromusical Fireworks, Npower Loop Meadow Stadium, display by Illusion Fireworks. Gates open 4pm
• Witney Fireworks Spectacular, Witney Rugby Football Club, including best-dressed Guy competition. Gates open at 6pm and tickets are free
• Burford fireworks, Burford Recreation Ground, Tanners Lane, Burford, Oxfordshire, OX18 4NB. Gates 6.30pm Tickets, Free
Monday, November 5
• Kidlington Fireworks Display, Stratfield Brake Recreation Ground, Kidlington Gates open at 6pm, with adults costing £5 and children £3. Food, refreshments and a fire juggler will be on site.
- Free fireworks at Combe village green, donations welcome. BBQ from 7pm at the village pub.
Saturday, November 10
• Yarnton, Littlemarsh Sports Field, firing at 7pm. Tickets in advance from Yarnton post office £3 per person or £10 for family. Tickets on the gate from 6pm. No sparklers.
• Abingdon Festival of Fireworks, Dalton Barracks, Abingdon. Gates open at 5pm. Entry costs £6, children under 5 go free and family tickets cost £20.
