A MAN in his sixties was killed and another man suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash between a bicycle and motorbike on Monday evening.
Emergency services were called to the A4260 Banbury Road at the junction with Sturdy’s Castle pub near Kidlington at around 6.35pm.
The cyclist died at the scene while the motorbike rider suffered serious injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses.
Investigating officer PC Robert Turpin, of Bicester Howes Lane station, said: “This was a tragic incident where a man lost his life and another man has sustained life threatening injuries.
“We are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen this collision to come forward and help with our enquiries.
“We are also appealing to the driver of a 4x4 vehicle which drove through the area shortly before the collision happened.
"We believe there is a chance this driver may be a possible witness.
“Anyone with dash-cam footage is asked to get in touch with us.”
