RESIDENTS are being urged to join this year’s Bicester Santa run ahead of the festive season.
Hundreds of people take part in the Annual Santa Fun Run is organised by Bicester Town Council to raise money for the mayor’s charities.
This year Mayor Sean Gaul is supporting Rainbow Pre-School, OYAP Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support.
It takes place on Sunday, December 16, and there is only 500 places available to runners.
Participants will meet in Pingle Field for an 11am start before setting off to weave their way around the 2.77mile route through Bicester town centre.
Mayor Sean Gaul said: “The Santa run is such a fun day and one that is firmly on Bicester Town Council’s events calendar.
“I am really looking forward to the day to watch the sea of red Santa’s pounding the streets of Bicester.
“I would urge people to sign up and have a good time as well as raise money for three good causes.”
Entry costs £10 per adult or £5 for children and includes a Santa suit, medal and bacon roll at the finish line.
