BUS operator Stagecoach has invested £3m in a new fleet operating between Oxford and Swindon.
Twelve new buses are now running on the Stagecoach Gold S6 service up to every 15 minutes, and linking Swindon bus station to Oxford Gloucester Green bus station via Shrivenham, Watchfield, Faringdon and Southmoor.
Formerly the 66 service, it is one of Stagecoach West’s busiest routes, carrying 875,000 passengers a year.
The new Stagecoach Gold buses are also more environmentally friendly.
Yvonne Constance, county council cabinet member for transport, said: “This service is really growing. These are super buses in lovely blue and gold.”
