DETAILS of a new Lidl supermarket in south Oxfordshire have been revealed.
The German supermarket chain is proposing to build the 2,100sqm store on vacant land to the east of Grove Road, in Grove, near Wantage.
The new store is expected to create up to 40 jobs.
However, some residents have raised concerns over an increase in traffic on the already busy road.
A planning application was submitted to Vale of White Horse District Council last week while residents have been invited to discuss the plans at a community drop-in event hosted by Lidl on Thursday.

According to the proposals, the building would incorporate a modern design with an 'attractive and active' frontage facing Grove Road.
Cars will enter and exit the car park from the Elms Business Park access road, directly off Grove Road. There will be 128 free car parking spaces for customers, including disabled spaces and parent and child spaces, along with storage space for 12 bikes.
Pedestrian and cycle access is also proposed adjacent to the pedestrian crossing on Grove Road.
The store's proposed opening hours would be 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday.
A decision is expected to be made on the plans by the end of this year.
Local residents are invited to the ‘have your say’ event at the Old Mill Hall, on School Lane from 3pm to 7pm on Thursday.
If approved the budget retailer's offering, will provide competition for the Co-op and Tesco Express in Grove and the Waitrose and Sainsbury’s stores in nearby Wantage.
