Horspath thrashed Bourton Vale by nine wickets to move within nine points of promotion to the top flight.
But their last Division 2 match is at home to Abingdon Vale, who still harbour hopes of going up and have a fine record against the top sides and beat them earlier in the season.
Put into bat Bourton could manage only 116 before being bowled out, with Dean Creed (4-20) doing much of the damage.
Adam Pitt then hit 63 not out to ensure the job was done for the loss of one wicket inside 20 overs.
Bourton Vale 5pts, Horspath 30.
Abingdon Vale skipper Ed Tilley led his side to the narrowest of victories at home to fellow promotion contenders Oxford 2nd to keep their chances of going up alive.
Tilley took 4-22 as Oxford struggled to 156 all out on a wicket still recovering from the severe flood damage it suffered in July.
He then top-scored with 51 as Vale squeezed home by one wicket, despite Ian Evans's 5-39.
Abingdon 30, Oxford 2nd 15.
Tiddington saw off one-time leaders Bledlow Ridge by eight wickets to stay in contention at the top, but if they go up it will be in controversial circumstances.
Two of their seven wins have come as a result of other sides' misdemeanours, with the victories being awarded after the matches had been played.
Tiddington cannot be blamed for capitalising on their good fortune and on Saturday restricted Ridge to 190-6 with only Matt Orford (80no) getting going.
John Mackie (45), his twin Alex (49no) and Riaan Krynauw (51no) then saw their side home.
Tiddington 30, Bledlow Ridge 10.
Mike Phillipson took four wickets and then hit an unbeaten 97 as Challow & Childrey thrashed Kingston Bagpuize by nine wickets.
Bagpuize could muster only 143 all out after being asked to bat, and then managed to take just one wicket as Challow raced to victory in 21.4 overs.
Challow & Childrey 30, Kingston Bagpuize 7.
The match between Morris Motors Exiles andLeighton Buzzard went to the final ball with all four results possible, and it was the Exiles who came out on top.
Town had been bowled out for 229 after 45.2 overs, which meant their hosts would have 54 overs to chase victory - and they were to use them all.
Nitin Sehgal (66), Jordon Gillies (48) and Wasim Mehmood (40) set them on their way, and despite Lee Selfe's 6-69 the Exiles scrambled the winning run off the very last ball.
Morris Motors Exiles 30, L Buzzard Town 19.
