A MISS England hopeful who also happens to be an Oxford United super-fan seemed to prove a good luck charm when she attended this weekend's match, with the team winning their first league game of the season.
Samantha Bumford took to the pitch at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday to rally support from U's fans and won a hearty round of applause.
The 25-year-old, who has strong family connections to Oxford, is already Miss Poole and now gunning for the top spot.
Speaking to the Oxford Mail ahead of the match, the trainee primary school teacher said she was 'basically born in a blue and yellow tracksuit'.
She is asking fans to vote for her in the contest by searching 'Samantha Louise Emma' on Facebook and liking her posts or by texting MISSENGLAND43 to 63333 to vote.
