WITH house prices in Oxfordshire soaring by more than 150 per cent in just five years, we have taken a quick look to see just what your money gets you in the current property market.
From plush, spacious country homes to more cosy two-bed town houses, Oxfordshire offers a range of homes and it's fair to say at a range of prices.
Starting at the lower end of the spectrum, you could buy this two-bed period cottage in Bicester for £250,000.
While in Abingdon, £285,000 would get you this three-bed semi-detached.
Moving to east Oxford, however, a similar-sized two-bed, semi-detached would set you back £350,000.
Moving more upmarket now, £500,000 would get you a four-bed, detached family home in Upper Heyford.
While in north Oxford, the same amount wouldn't quite pay for a four-bed house - this two bed flat is on the Waterways estate and is up for sale for £550,000.
Breaking the £1 million barrier now - for £1.25million you could live it up in this plush five-bed country home in Ipsden, offering 'uninterupted views' of the Oxfordshire countryside.
For an extra £250,000, however, you could get a four/five bed house in North Oxford. This town house is on the market for £1.5million.
All homes and prices were taken from the Oxford Times property page on Thursday August 9.
