A FAKE grass company has seen a 30 per cent increase in enquiries since the heatwave.
Temperatures have been soaring into the 30's, which is leaving lawns in Oxfordshire looking beige and dry.
LazyLawn Oxfordshire, a turf supplier, have now released new figures showing the sales increase during July, compared to last year.
They say that the increase of people wanting to swap their dead lawns for sunshine-proof greenery has upped by 30 per cent from the usual dip in sales during the holiday season.
Sales manager Matt Shemilt said: "After weeks of baking heat and no rain it’s no surprise that homeowners are keen to find ways to reinvigorate their gardens."
