A CAR has burnt out at Peartree Interchange, causing delays for drivers during the evening rush-hour. 

Fire crews were on the scene in north Oxford with the car burning on the exit slip road of the busy junction. 

Traffic was delayed on the northbound carriageway and the A44 was also affected.

It follows earlier delays on the same road at the Milton Interchange where a vehicle hit the central reservation and blocked one of the two lanes. 

Delays of up to 20 minutes were reported which had eased by 7pm.
