A MAN has been arrested following a police chase through two counties after officers responded to reports of a burglary at Co-Op.
Thames Valley Police said a 20-year-old from Cheltenham is in custody after a pursuit that involved officers from TVP, Gloucestershire Police and a police helicopter.
This morning an ATM could be seen strewn across the road in the centre of Watlington.
Police are on the scene at the Co-Op in Couching Street, with a cordon in place.
The trashed ATM can be seen lying on the side of the road, with the sign on the side reading 'safe, secure and free' visible.
A spokesperson for The Midcounties Co-operative said: “An incident took place at the Watlington store in the early hours of Wednesday, June, 21 when the store was closed and no colleagues were present.
"We are assisting the police with their investigations.”
