Bosses at building and maintenance firm Rok have unveiled a major hike in its fortunes, claiming record financial results for the seventh year in a row.
Rok, which has a base in Botley, Oxford, saw pre-tax profits soar by 75 per cent to £11.2m, while turnover jumped 44 per cent to £434m.
Stuart Evans, area leader for Rok Oxford, said: "We are confident that here in Oxford we have played a key role in delivering the company's strong upward growth.
"Over the past six months we have continued to work on a diverse range of projects across a number of sectors, notably social housing and education.
"We are looking forward to another strong second half of the year and hope to build on our successes."
Recent projects include a £1.5m maintenance contract with retirement housing specialist the Anchor Trust, a £160,000 nursery extension at Pegasus School, Oxford, and a £443,000 project in Didcot for the Oxfordshire NHS Ambulance Trust to form a new South Central head office.
