A lorry driver involved in a head-on collision between Burford and the Oxfordshire-Gloucestershire border on the A40 has died.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the crash on the A40, west of Burford, on Friday, August 17, at about 1.50am. A white Mercedes-Benz lorry was travelling from Cheltenham towards Burford when it collided with a blue Renault traffic van travelling in the opposite direction.
A 42-year-old man in the Renault suffered serious injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment. He died on Saturday and has not yet been identified.
The second driver was also in a critical condition, according to South Central Ambulance Service and needed hospital treatment for multiple injuries.
