HIGH Street in Oxford has reopened after an emergency closure, reportedly caused by a vehicle fire.
Stagecoach Oxford said there a vehicle was on fire on the road this afternoon and its services were having to divert.
SERVICE UPDATE: Due to a vehicle fire on the High St, Oxford, all services are using Abingdon Rd, Donnington Bridge & Iffley Rd.

High Street is currently closed. Please expect disruption to services in the area.

The road has since reopened but there is still heavy traffic in the area.

A statement on the Oxford Tube website, posted before the road reopened, said: "Due to the emergency closure of the High Street a number of stops are currently out of use.
"Coaches towards London are unable to serve High Steet.
"Coaches towards Oxford are unable to serve St Aldate's, High Street, St Clement's and Oxford Brookes.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will update this notice accordingly."
A spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service described the incident as 'incredibly minor' and refused to clarify what happened.
