WOULD you like to be part of the very popular Witney in the Pink Day on Saturday, October 6?

The organisers, the Witney Fundraising Team of the Oxfordshire charity Against Breast Cancer (ABC), are looking for musicians, dancers and street entertainers to help the event go with a swing.

"We have some fantastic dance teams who come along every year, but we would like to introduce some new entertainers too," said Natasha Hall, who is co-ordinating the entertainment.

"I'd love to hear from anyone who would like to be involved in this fun event."

Last year's Witney in the Pink Day raised more than £5,000 for ABC. The town was decorated with pink balloons and ribbon, shops and businesses joined in by taking part in a 'best dressed window' competition, there was a Big Pink Balloon Race, stalls and a street collection.

All these things will be happening again this year, in the town centre from 10am. Witney in the Pink Day is the Witney Fundraising Team's main event of the year - in 2006 they raised a total of more than £24,000 to help fund ABC's research into the effect diet and lifestyle have on survival from breast cancer.

Anyone who would like to be involved in providing entertainment on the day, or can help with the street collection, should contact Natasha Hall on 07800 965453.
