POLICE stopped 49 motorists at road checks in Bicester.
Thirty were stopped for not wearing seat-belts. All chose to see an educational video to avoid a £30 fine.
The checks were held in Kings End and Middleton Stoney Road.
Twelve drivers were handed a £60 fine and three penalty points for using mobile phones at the wheel.
Four of the drivers stopped on Thursday were fined £60 for not having car tax and three were given £60 fines and three penalty points for driving while not in full control of their vehicle - including eating at the wheel.
