BOOKER Prize-winning author Arundhati Roy is to give a talk at Oxford Town Hall.

The author will be at the St Aldate’s venue at 7pm tomorrow, in conversation with Faisal Devji, to talk about her bestselling novel The Ministry of Utmost Happiness.

Blackwell’s Bookshop in Broad Street is hosting the talk about the novel, which is now out in paperback.

The story is set in the neighbourhoods of Old Delhi, the Valley of Kashmir and the forests of Central India.

Ms Roy’s novel The God of Small Things won the Booker Prize in 1997 and was translated into more than 40 languages. Dr Devji is Reader in Modern South Asian History at St Antony’s College.
