In response to letters concerning this year's cancellation of 'Oxford in Bloom' - blame the weather, not Mike Gass and the 'Oxford in Bloom' committee, who have worked tirelessly for years to make it a huge success.
At least they had the decency to send letters of apology to the contestants.
This was Mike's final year as chief co-ordinator due to retirement.
As a contestant, I've always found him an ever-helpful and fair-minded person who gave his heart and soul in making 'Oxford in Bloom' something to be proud of. Enjoy your retirement, Mike! You've left a tremendous legacy.
