THOUSANDS of people enjoyed an array of delights from around the world at the Witney Festival of Food and Drink.
Returning to the town for a sixth year, the festival was blessed by the weather and the feel good factor of the Royal wedding as crowds flocked to St Mary’s Church and the surrounding area on Saturday.
Stallholders selling local produce as well as foods from around the globe set up camp and music and morris dancing - along with the popular Hazzaz Belly Dancers helped create a festival atmosphere in Witney.
The festival’s organisers said it was a ‘wonderful’ occasion enjoyed by everyone.
Witney Mayor Brenda Churchill and Witney MP Robert Courts were among the guests but the Reverend Ross Meikle stole the show when he joined in with the belly dancers.
