WORK will start today to build a wind farm at Watchfield, near Faringdon.
The community-owned Westmill Wind Farm Co-operative plans five turbines to generate enough power for 2,500 homes.
Westmill was set up in 2004, under the guidance of power firm Energy4All.
The co-op raised over £4.4m from the public to get the scheme off the ground.
