UPDATE - Council responds after signs appear aroind the city
A MYSTERIOUS 'artist' has struck again after putting up a host of new street signs in Oxford.
The social media-themed signs, were spotted in streets and alleyways across the city yesterday.
The anonymous individual had previously claimed responsibility for adding fantasy locations such as Middle Earth, Gotham Town and Narnia, to road signs in Didcot earlier this year.
And now signs for the likes of Hashtag Walk, Facebook Row, WTF Lane and LOL Alley can be seen adorning walls across Oxford.
Another sign for 'Snapchat End' appeared opposite the Bear Inn on the corner of Blue Boar Street and Alfred Street.
The sign stuck to the walls of Christ Church was snapped by Marc West this afternoon.
It appears as if the street signs are the work of an artist going by the name of 'A34'.
He tweeted:
So my signs are out there. Many of them. Here are a few. #socialmediagig #oxfordstreetsigns pic.twitter.com/0JKDL9LHmq

The artist says the inspiration for his work comes from our relationship with social media giants, amid the data privacy scandal that engulfed Facebook.
Our relationship with social media is like a modern gothic tale. The social media companies sucking data from us like vampires drinking blood. But we have great collective power and can drive a stake through the heart of those corporations, should we fall out of favour with them.
