The county's teenagers will find out tomorrow whether they have made the grade as A-Level results are released.

Results will be uploaded on to our website throughout the morning. Students are due to go into their schools from 10am onwards to collect their results.

Last year, record numbers scored top grades as the national pass rate increased for the 24th year in a row.

In Oxfordshire, the top performing state school was The Cherwell School, in Marston Ferry Road, North Oxford, where 98.8 per cent of pupils achieved A to E grades and 85.1 per cent gained A to C grades.

Oxfordshire's top independent school was Magdalen College School, where 100 per cent of pupils achieved A to E grades and 99 per cent gained A to C grades.

Pupil Julian Lopez-Portillo scooped eight A grades, putting him among the country's top performers.
