Chiltern Railways has extended its scheme to sell train tickets by mobile phone.
The company has more than doubled the number of mobile tickets and introduced them on peak services.
Neil Micklethwaite, commercial director at Chiltern Railways, said: "More than17,000 people have now travelled with Chiltern Railways using mobile tickets. With over 1,000 tickets available each day, the age of the mobile ticket really is upon us."
Passengers are now able to buy mobile phone tickets for the 7.45am from Birmingham to London and the 4pm from London Marylebone to Birmingham.
