Sir - Christopher Gray has probably never had his bottom pinched, or he would realise that far from being a way of brightening up a dull and depressing situation (Gray Matter, August 3), it is a humiliating sexual assault.
Whatever his view of the media's interest in the recent floods (and I wonder how he would have reacted if there had been little or no media interest), the reporter in question was doing her job and Rufus Burdett's behaviour was despicable.
I also found Mr Gray's comments on the free drinks he enjoyed as a result of Olivia Channon's death in very poor taste.
