An inquest into the deaths of two men from Oxfordshire killed in a RAF Puma helicopter is due to begin today.
Flt Lt David Sale, 28, and Sgt Phillip Burfoot, 27, both from 33 Squadron at RAF Benson, died during a crash near Catterick Garrison on August 8.
Flt Lt Sale was described as a "model officer" while Welshman Sgt Burfoot was "utterly dependable", colleagues said.
An inquest will also open into the death of Pte Sean Tait, of Glasgow, a member of The Royal Regiment of Scotland who died in hospital two days after the crash.
The helicopter's pilot and a crewman also died and nine other people were injured.
An investigation is currently being carried out by the police and Ministry of Defence.
