Councillor Roz Smith may have been pleased to see the article on the subways at the Headington Hill roundabout, but I was not on seeing her letter (Oxford Mail, August 3)!
It is disappointing to see Ms Smith unashamedly - and ungracefully - jumping onto a bandwagon.
This issue was initially raised by Conservative Cllr Tia Macgregor, who has taken the initiative to call a long-overdue public meeting to address this pressing concern of residents.
Cllr Smith failed to take the lead on this issue, instead stealing others' thunder. The public wants less hot air from the Lib Dems, and more elbow grease.
