Friends gathered last night to release dozens of balloons in memory of two young Bicester men killed in a car crash.
Members of Cruise Bicester, a group of young car enthusiasts, also staged a drive-past at the site where James McCabe, 21, of Hemingway Drive, and Adam Davis, 19, of Oxlip Leyes, lost their lives.
They also held a two-minute silence in memory of the pair. Balloons were earlier released into the air at a meeting point at the town's Homebase store.
Cruise Bicester founder member Matt Smith, 23, of Launton, said: "Adam was more part of the cruise scene and James had just started to come along. They died doing what they loved doing.
"They would have taken part in exactly the same thing if it was another one of us."
The men died when their red Peugeot 205 went out of control and crashed into a tree just off the B4030 Middleton Stoney Road last Monday Thames Valley Police are investigating the crash. Officers said they were looking at whether speed was a factor.
