MAJOR traffic queues backed up along the M40 into Oxfordshire after police closed the road following a killing.
A motorcyclist was shot dead on the motorway near Warwick services and officers shut the road between junction 10 at Ardley and 14, near Warwick, in both directions.
The incident happened at about 2.20pm and traffic was diverted off the road and on to surrounding routes.
Police forensic teams searched the scene. It was not known when the road would be reopened.
