POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an American Indian Tipi was stolen from a garden in Nuneham Courtenay.
The tipi is 16ft and sand coloured. It is supported by wooden poles and was imported from a company called Albion Canvas.
Det Sgt Roger Lamboll, from Oxford CID, said: "It is likely that the thieves may try to sell the tipi on. It is large and not easy to conceal, I would like to appeal to anyone who may have seen the tipi or anything suspicious in the area at the time."
Anyone with any information about the incident, which happened last Tuesday, should contact Det Sgt Lamboll at Oxford police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don't want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
