A HUGE warehousing development at Sutton Courtenay would bring £518,750 to the parish if approved, it has been revealed.
The companies behind the 100,000sq ft scheme have said that is how much they would offer Vale of White Horse District Council in Section 106 developer contributions for the area if given planning permission.
The sum includes £350,000 towards improving the local road network, £60,000 towards some kind of public art and £100,000 for Sutton Courtenay Parish Council.
The Diageo Pension Trust which owns the former MOD site and estate agents at Savills, who are promoting the plans, also acknowledged in the same leaflet delivered to homes in the village that scheme would have a visual impact on the area, but promised a 'landscaped bund', or small hill, on its northern boundary to help reduce the impact.
The firms also promised 'acoustic screening' - likely to be trees and bushes - to 'mitigate the transmission of noise from the site'.
The firms are planning two buildings, one of about 60,000sq ft and one of about 40,000sq ft, with parking for more than 300 cars and 80 HGVs.
It has been rumoured that the 'data centre' in one of the new warehouses might be bought by Amazon.
Members of public can see the latest plans at whitehorsedc.gov.uk using reference number P17/V3188/SCR.
The companies still need to submit a full planning application.
